Chemfag here, I posted on this a while ago but nobody noticed.
If the chemical agent used in the UK was so-called "novichok", I'll eat my hat. Picture related.
Could be something much easier to procure, like (F)entanyl.
There are several problems with the "official" story. Right off the bat they blamed Russia and did not follow protocol, neither have they provided any sample for testing. If UK or their cronies do the testing, they can dope it to make it somewhat support their narrative.
Chemical compounds in nerve agents can be traced, highly toxic nerve agent would be on the A-list at MI6. Even though Russia purportedly released some compounds under the guise of pesticides (they would be the only ones), the usual suspects would be all over that.
Also if Novochok was actually used I would expect the fatalites to be much higher. Even a very small dose is fatal. Evidence: Skripal still alive although in critical condition, daughter now able to speak, other people who came into contact may have experienced some symptoms but not fatal. This is more in line with other chemical agents.
Just my opinion, based on own experience and more than a few years of learning
Russia would NOT be the only ones to manufacture compounds under "pesticides"
Bad auto-correct
Well, there is some debate among us whether it actually exists "in the wild".
Some more potent variants of VX be have been produced in labs. Problem is delivery. Target just one or two people? Not realistic with this compound.
