Considering JFK and the country's history, it will likely be bimetal. I would guess there will be other metals that may be valued as well, but I can't say for certain.

The big question, though, is how we will make transactions via the internet. Think about having a business partner in Croatia or if you want to send your cousin from Georgia fifteen bucks because she stitched up your sweater last fall.

If we transition from a money-less Monopoly™ system to a metals system, how do we solve this issue?

Do we just fall back on relying upon the State to regulate the currency again? What's the solution for that?

I'm of the opinion that some blockchain mechanism will have to be used, but the problem is with government controlling it. If the feds can control it again, we're in the very same position, except this time it will be a much simpler Monopoly™ system.

I personally have no clue how to tether gold to a crypto, but Silver would be smarter anyway because scarcity is where we derive value from.

If someone's using sigils, they appear much more interesting to me.

I may have to check that out…
