I once had a dr prescribe an anxiety med that I NEEDED at the time; my pharmacy REFUSED to fill it because of other meds I take…..said they CAN'T fill RX because of potential lethal side effects.
My Dr was working with me a long time and knew that I took my meds responsibly FOR YEARS and knew prescribing this RX would be fine IN MY SITUATION.
But this pharmacist took it upon herself to play DR.
My Dr WAS PISSED. Needless to say, I never got the med.

you don't get it. I am a chronic pain patient who can ONLY be prescribed medications by a pain mgmt Dr. Because of govt control and restrictions, (and bc of drug addicts who ABUSE medications and heroin, opiods, ect), I have to go thru hell each month to get my meds. I signed a contract that I cannot get meds at any other Dr without consulting my pain mgmt Dr; I am subjected to "random pee tests" to ensure I am taking my meds and nothing else (and these tests are SUPER expensive); I am not even allowed to upset the staff when I can't get my meds filled, which, btw, I have to pick up every month…..no 90 day supply, no Dr calling it in; I work FT and can't get to them every month because their hours are the same as mine; I also have to be "seen" every 90 days, or they can't rx my meds. I also have to use the same pharmacy, otherwise [they] will say you are pharmacy hopping to get "the bad drugs" because then [they] see me as an "addict".
Without my meds I can't get out of bed in the morning and go to work.
So before you make such a rude pretentious remark to an anon, maybe know the whole story.

And…..People like this are EXACTLY the reason the people who truly need the meds for real medical conditions have to jump through too many hoops to get them. I have been going through this for years, and it's fucking bullshit.
