The Pirbright Institute owns a patent on Coronavirus, another patent on the Chimaeric Protein for the modification and generation of recombinant infectious bronchitis coronaviruses, and one pending for Coronavididae, e.g. avian infectious bronchitis virus. Three names stick out the most, Erica Bickerton, Sarah Keep, and Paul Britton, all with the Pirbright Institute.

More digging found that The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation give grants to this institute, multi-millions. The Pirbright Institute also has a patent pending where they want to use the Coronavirus for a vaccine for diseases such as Infectious Bronchitis.
