It appears to be a viral induced disease most resemblingHIGH ALTITUDE SICKNESS . Patients are slowly being starved of oxygen.
Doc thinks doctors are treating the wrong disease.
He thinks covid-19 is not a pneumonia and should not be treated as one. Ventilators are typically used for patient's muscles that are too tired to do the normal work.

The way the ventilator is program is based on the wrong model, respiratory failure instead of oxygen failure. This method used in hospitals across the nation that increases the pressure on the lungs in order to open them is actually doing them more harm. The ARDS we are seeing may be lung injury caused by the ventilator. We will have to use ventilators, but must be used in a safer way/method. This safer method goes against long held dogma that will be hard to overcome. Those who are working bedside need to speak out!
