Roseanne has been speaking out against child trafficking and sex abuse in Hollywood for years. Her politics are questionable, but I believe her fight against the pedophiles is sincere.
The core message of Roseanne's recent show–that love and family are more important than politics–threatens people who have built their entire worldview around the idea that anyone with a different political opinion is stupid and hateful. It's harder to dehumanize "the other side" when you start seeing them as nuanced humans that are no less deserving of love and respect than you. This is why they're fighting Roseanne's success so hard. It's harder to sell divisiveness when you see the other side as human.

The difference here is that the mainstream media endorsed McCain and Kutcher, but they're now trying to destroy Roseanne.
They've been shilling hard against Roseanne across the entire internet ever since she made that comment about human trafficking over the weekend. They really don't want her or her show to be successful.
