Father of Obamacare Zeke Emanual Says No Concerts, Sporting Events, Church or Dinner at a Restaurant for 18 Months!

Dr. Ezekial Emanuel is the father of the disastrous Obamacare legislation and the brother of former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Zeke was wrong about Obamacare.

Now he’s out preaching that the government must continue the current coronavirus lockdown for 18 months. That means no church, sporting events, concerts or dinner at a restaurant.

Dr. Emanuel spoke to MSNBC today.

Dr. Zeke Emanuel: COVID-19 will be here for the next 18 months or more. We will not be able to return to normalcy until we find a vaccine or effective medications. I know that’s dreadful news to hear. How are people supposed to find work if this goes on in some form for a year and a half? Is all that economic pain worth trying to stop COVID-19? The truth is we have no choice.

If we prematurely end that physical distancing and the other measures keeping it at bay, deaths could skyrocket into the hundreds of thousands if not a million. We cannot return to normal until there’s a vaccine. Conferences, concerts, sporting events, religious services, dinner in a restaurant, none of that will resume until we find a vaccine, a treatment, or a cure.

That is horrifying.

Donald Trump Announces Hold on World Health Organization Funding

President Donald Trump announced Tuesday at the White House that he would put a hold on funding to the World Health Organization amid the coronavirus crisis.

“They were wrong about a lot of things,” Trump said.

The president noted that the World Health Organization receives more from the United States than any other country, and would require accounting for their failure to properly alarm the world about the coronavirus outbreak.

“We want to look into the World Health Organization because they really called it wrong,” Trump said. “They missed the call, they could have called it months earlier, they would have known, they should have known, and they probably did know.”

The president noted that the WHO actually criticized his travel ban from China that he set in late January.

“Such restrictions can have the effect of increasing fear and stigma, with little public health benefit,” WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said about travel bans just days after Trump banned travel from China.

Trump said the WHO frequently sided with China despite heavy criticism for their lack of transparency about the virus.

“They seem to be very China-centric,” he said. “That’s a nice way of saying it, but they seem to be very China-centric, and they seem to err always on the side of China.”

Trump accused the global organization of also getting a lot wrong about the virus.

“It’s a great thing when it works, but when they call every shot wrong, it’s no good,” he said.

Later in the briefing, reporters asked why he would freeze funding to the WHO in the middle of a pandemic.

“I’m not saying I’m going to do it. But we’re going to look at it,” the president said.

House Republican Demands Congress Defund WHO Until Chief Tedros Resigns

Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) on Tuesday introduced a resolution demanding Congress withhold funding from the World Health Organization (WHO) until its Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (pictured), resigns from his post.

The measure, which is co-sponsored by over 20 Republicans, also calls for a wide-ranging investigation into WHO’s alleged role in assisting the Chinese Communist Party cover up its handling of the deadly coronavirus strain that originated in Wuhan, China.

“The WHO helped the Chinese Communist Party hide the threat of COVID-19 from the world and now more than 10,000 Americans are dead, a number that is expected to rise dramatically in the coming weeks,” Reschenthaler said in a statement. “The United States is the largest contributor to WHO. It is not right that Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars are being used to propagate China’s lies and hide information that could have saved lives. This bill will hold the WHO accountable for their negligence and deceit.”

According to a Fox News audit, the United States gives hundreds of millions of dollars to the WHO annually:

The United States is the single largest contributor to the WHO. The most recent invoice from the WHO to the United States, which is one of many countries that fund the organization, was for nearly $116 million per year. The United States also voluntarily gives between approximately $100 million and $400 million more per year to the WHO for specific projects — contributions that totaled over $400 million in 2017, the most recent year for which figures are available.

The introduction of the measure comes after President Trump lambasted the WHO, calling the United Nations-backed organization “very China centric” for its advice not to enact a travel ban to prevent the spread of the virus.
