post office is a one off american thing anons

its a lifestyle more than a job

yeah many are overpaid and many dont do shit (think management level and above) but for the most part - at least on the retail side - it requires a lot of dedication and hours and people skills - they see the same people every day in each post office

our one gal here runs it herself and she works many more hours than paid for and now exposed to this shit too

so dont be too hasty

its not all about death rates

that is one nasty fuking illness to get and lasts 8-10 days

and it is HIGHLY contagious

that was the reason for the vaccine

here are some stats i dont vouch for from shmoogle

How many cases of measles were there in 1962?

The introduction of measles vaccine in 1963 and its subsequent wide- spread use resulted in a dramatic decline in the number of reported cases, from the prevaccine annual average (1953โ€“1962) of โˆผ530,000 cases to 204,136 cases in 1966 (figure 1), a decline of 160%.

didnt know that anon

dug this right up:

CONCLUSIONS:

These data suggest that there may be an increased incidence of certain cancers among the 98 million persons exposed to contaminated polio vaccine in the U.S.; further investigations are clearly justified.

clearly further investigations never habbened
