Former Executives from U.S. Broadcasting Company 21st Century Fox and Spanish Sports Media Company Imagina Media Audiovisual SL, along with Argentina-Based Sports Marketing Company Full Play Group S.A., Charged with Bribing Soccer Officials

A 53-count third-superseding indictment (the “Indictment”) was unsealed in federal court in Brooklyn charging sports marketing executives Hernan Lopez and Carlos Martinez, formerly of 21st Century Fox, Inc. (“Fox”); Gerard Romy, former co-CEO of Spanish media company Imagina Media Audiovisual SL (“Imagina”); and Uruguayan sports marketing company Full Play Group S.A. (“Full Play”) (collectively, the “New Defendants”) with wire fraud, money laundering and related offenses – including, as to Romy and Full Play, racketeering conspiracy – in connection with the government’s long-running investigation and prosecution of corruption in organized soccer. The Indictment, returned under seal by a federal grand jury on March 18, 2020, includes additional charges against certain defendants located overseas who were previously indicted and have yet to be extradited to the United States.

Defendants Lopez, Martinez and Full Play are scheduled to be arraigned on April 9, 2020, before United States District Judge Pamela K. Chen in Brooklyn.

Then, after the Russian threat passed (with the “fall of Communism”), terrorists would be identified as the next threat, and that was soon to follow. Throughout the media for the next decade, we heard a lot about terrorism. Then we were going to identify third-world country “crazies.” We now call them Nations of Concern. But he said that would be the third enemy against whom we would build space-based weapons.

The next enemy was asteroids. Now, at this point he kind of chuckled the first time he said it. Asteroids- against asteroids we are going to build space-based weapons. And the funniest one of all was what he called aliens, extraterrestrials. That would be the final scare. I think I was too naïve at that time to know the seriousness of the nature of the spin that was being put on the system. And now, the pieces are starting to fall into place. We are building a space-based weapons system on a premise that is a lie, a spin. Wernher Von Braun was trying to hint that to me back in the early 70’s and right up until the moment when he died in 1977.

Tennessee: Muslim goes on stabbing spree at truck stop, killing three women and injuring a fourth

Maybe Idris Abdus-Salaam was simply mentally ill. Maybe he had some relationship with his victims. But we have seen many times jihadis going on stabbing sprees in Europe, and the Islamic State issued this call in September 2014:

The deceased suspect, Idris Abdus-Salaam, 33, was a truck driver from Durham, North Carolina.

The three deceased victims were all employed at the Pilot Travel Center on Strawberry Plains Pike. They have been identified as:

Joyce Whaley, 57

Patricia Denise Nibbe, 51

Nettie R. Spencer, 41

The fourth victim, who was a customer, remains hospitalized.

WHO Admits Transmission Lie: Report Ignored To Protect Relationship With China

Why in the world are American taxpayer dollars being used to support this obvious communist Chinese-controlled organization?

Over the past few weeks, the world learned that the World Health Organization (which is supposed to actually care about the health of people) lied when they said there was no evidence of human to human transmission of COVID-19.

This tweet was posted AFTER the organization was given a report from Taiwan which demonstrated that in fact, coronavirus does spread to individuals.

Now, the United Nations group of communist sympathizers has admitted that it deliberately ignored that report. And, a number of U.S. lawmakers (namely Republicans) want a full scale investigation.

Are COVID-19 Deaths Being Overreported?

Playing loose with the number of fatalities or giving local officials the greenlight to inflate those figures is inimical to the public’s need to get a firm grasp on the danger of the disease.

According to some tracking sites, the U.S. death toll from the novel coronavirus reached 10,000 victims on Monday. Grim reapers on social media noted the “grim milestone” and forecast more grim days ahead for Americans now trapped by government-imposed house arrest as they helplessly watch their savings and livelihoods and freedom implode in real-time.

The U.S. surgeon general warned that this week’s catastrophic death toll will rival those not seen since the most horrific attacks on American soil. Jerome Adams said that the next several days will be “our Pearl Harbor moment, our 9/11 moment. Only, it’s not going to be localized, it’s going to be happening all over the country.” President Trump and his closest medical advisors also have reiterated that terrifying scenario.

But there is little information available as to what qualifies as a coronavirus fatality for official counts. And there is good reason to approach such tallies with skepticism since reporting from states like New York is suspiciously vague.

Trump Administration Opposes IMF Assistance to Iran Amid Ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic

As Iran suffers from the worst coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the Middle East, the Islamic republic has asked the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a $5 billion emergency loan to assist the nation’s efforts in slowing the rapid spread of the disease.

The Trump administration is opposing loans to Iran by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank amid the coronavirus crisis ravaging the globe, US Department of State spokesperson Morgan Ortagus told BBC Persian on Tuesday.

Though Tehran says it needs the loan to help the country deal with the pandemic, Ortagus claimed that Iran would use the money “to help their terrorist proxy groups in the Middle East” and not for the benefit of the Iranian people.

The development came as Iran awaits a decision from the IMF for the former's request of $5 billion in emergency aid, as the country is facing difficulties in slowing the virus outbreak, particlularly as it is under heavy unilateral US economic sanctions.

Tehran’s request to the IMF is the first of its kind since the overthrow of the Shah and the foundation of the Islamic republic in 1979.

The World Health Organization’s (WHO’s) leadership challenges can be traced to its first decades of existence. Central to its governance and practice is regionalization: the division of its member countries into regions, each representing 1 geographical or cultural area.

The particular composition of each region has varied over time—reflecting political divisions and especially decolonization. Currently, the 194 member countries belong to 6 regions: the Americas (35 countries), Europe (53 countries), the Eastern Mediterranean (21 countries), South-East Asia (11 countries), the Western Pacific (27 countries), and Africa (47 countries). The regions have considerable autonomy with their own leadership, budget, and priorities. This regional organization has been controversial since its beginnings in the first days of WHO, when representatives of the European countries believed that each country should have a direct relationship with the headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, whereas others (especially the United States) argued in favor of the regionalization plan.

Over time, regional directors have inevitably challenged the WHO directors-general over their degree of autonomy, responsibilities and duties, budgets, and national composition; similar tensions have occurred within regions. This article traces the historical roots of these challenges.

As TGP reported over the weekend, the amount of Americans who are reported to have died from the Coronavirus is based on a CDC coding system that will “result in COVID-19 being the underlying cause more often than not.”

Dr. Birx confirmed this on Tuesday during a COVID-19 task force briefing.

A new ICD code was established to keep track of Coronavirus deaths.

The U07.1 code will be used for death by Coronavirus infection.

However, there’s another secondary code, U07.2, “for clinical or epidemiological diagnosis of COVID-19 where a laboratory confirmation is inconclusive or not available,” the CDC guidelines read.

“The underlying cause depends upon what and where conditions are reported on the death certificate. However, the rules for coding and selection of the underlying cause of death are expected to result in COVID- 19 being the underlying cause more often than not,” the guidelines read.

Dr. Birx on Tuesday told a reporter during a Coronavirus task force briefing, “We’ve taken a very liberal approach to mortality.”

“Can you talk about your concerns about deaths being misreported by Coronavirus because of either testing or standards for how they are characterized?” the reporter asked Birx.

“If someone dies with COVID-19, we are counting that as a COVID-19 death,” Birx said.

Harvard Law students use coronavirus pandemic to push for no bar exam

Harvard Law School students are asking state bar associations to waive the requirement to pass the bar exam in light of coronavirus.

The calls come after Harvard relaxed grades for law students.

Harvard Law students are asking the Ivy League school to help them avoid having to take the bar exam, citing the coronavirus pandemic.

As reported by the Harvard Crimson, nearly 200 law students set to graduate this year signed a letter asking Harvard Law to advocate on their behalf to the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, asking it to issue "emergency diplomas." According to the Crimson, the letter claims that the postponement of the bar exam until July 2020 will disproportionately affect minority students.

"we respectfully request that the Committee enact a diploma privilege for all recent graduates and 2020 graduates who plan on taking the July 2020 Bar Exam and practicing law…"

“Folks that don't have the financial security to be able to just quit their job and study for the bar at any moment — they might choose to forego the state bar. That means low-income students, immigrant students, folks of color are the ones that are going to be more likely to have to forgo taking or studying a later exam because they're going to be needing to work to provide for themselves and their family," the letter reads, according to the Crimson.
