I was born after the Salk vaccine but my older siblings remember the polio epidemics. And I grew up around older people crippled by polio.

According to sibling, summers were terrifying - yes parent's were afraid to take their kids swimming, etc.

Then one day the Salk vaccine appeared as if a miracle and the children were gathered at the local school and were given the vaccine on a sugar cube, And it tasted like shit.

I am skeptical now of vaccination, disease, science.

Looking forward to the future when truths can be revealed.
