Here Comes The Second Wave: Wuhan Lockdown Ends And Tens Of Thousands Are About To Flee The City
Last week we reported that even as the world's attention had shifted to the new global coronavirus outbreak epicenters of New York, Italy, Spain and other western nations, China - which rushed to restart its economy at any cost - had put a major county on lockdown after a new cluster of coronavirus infection had emerged. To wit, last Wednesday we learned that in post on its social media account, Jia county - which has a population of about 600,000 - said that no one can travel out of Jia county without proper authorization after one person tested positive.
This new cluster emerged just days after China once again revised its virus reporting methodology to also include asymptomatic carriers of the disease, which naturally begged the question why China wasn't reported his subset of infections previously.
We got the answer yesterday when Mainland China reported 39 new coronavirus cases as of Sunday, up from 30 a day earlier, and the number of asymptomatic cases also surged, as Beijing continued to struggle to extinguish the outbreak despite drastic containment efforts. China's National Health Commission said in a statement on Monday that 78 new asymptomatic cases had been identified as of the end of the day on Sunday, compared with 47 the day before. Of the new cases showing symptoms, 38 were people who had entered China from abroad, compared with 25 a day earlier, although how China keeps track of this on an instantaneous basis is unclear. Also it's odd to blame "imports" as China also closed off its borders to foreigners, though according to Beijing most imported cases involve Chinese nationals returning from overseas.
Worse, an update posted late on Tuesday showed that the number of most asymptomatic cases has nearly doubled since Sunday's peak:
This means that whether asymptomatic or not, imported or domestic, Hubei-based or not, on April 5, China reported the most new Coronavirus cases in a month as slowly the disease appears to be reestablishing itself in the world's most populous nation.
This is a problem because it suggests that despite the now chronic data obfuscation, China may be about to unleash to a second wave of coronavirus infections - both domestically and internationally - something JPMorgan predicted is virtually inevitable.
It's an even bigger problem because at midnight on Wednesday, China ended its lockdown of Wuhan, the city where the coronavirus first emerged and remains the symbol of a pandemic that has killed tens of thousands of people, shaken the global economy and thrown daily life into upheaval across the planet.
Alas, as the NYT reports, the city that has reopened after more than 10 weeks is a profoundly damaged one, a place whose recovery will be watched worldwide for lessons on how populations move past pain and calamity of such staggering magnitude. What's worse, is that judging by the latest reports, a new cluster of cases may be emerging and since Wuhan was ground zero, the risk is that by reopening Wuhan, China may be about to restart a whole new global wave of infections.

Alters previously launched and won a major class action lawsuit against Chinese manufacturers of defective drywall.
In his legal career, Alters has settled cases and achieved verdicts totaling over $4.5 billion dollars.
Under the firm’s theory of the case, China has unleashed a pandemic, dropping a viral bomb on our world, country, and people. That bomb that they dropped could have been contained. They could have prevented it, and at least 95% of [destruction] in the United States could have been prevented if China did their job as a sovereign nation. So now we fall under these exceptions. A couple of the expansions on the exceptions are “did they violate their own laws?” We say yes, because the wet markets that are open in Wuhan were supposed to be closed down years ago. To be very clear, in our lawsuit, we don’t blame the people of China. We blame the government of China and the heads of the Communist Party of China and the virology lab in China and the different entities, but we don’t blame the people. We think they are victims, just like we are, of the same propaganda and the same nonsense that the CCP spew. Under these exceptions, there is a business activity exception.
Firstly, China broke their own laws by allowing the wet markets to continue. Those wet markets, whether intentional or unintentional, are the source of the virus. That is where it could have been contained. The market should not be open. It is a violation of their own law. Why did [China] let them stay open? [The Chinese government] lets them stay open, because they make a billion dollars from it. They make a billion dollars a year from the exotic trade of animals that pass through those markets. They act like they know nothing about it, but thats not true. Under that exception, meaning they broke their own law, we believe we can pursue this case.
Secondly, they failed to warn us of an inherent danger to our country. I don’t think there is anybody in the United States that would disagree. They failed to properly warn us of what was going on. The Ninth Circuit Court, which is based in California, has said that if there is a failure to warn of an inherent danger, that is an exception on top of the exceptions that exist. It is an enhancement of the exception that allows us to pursue this case. The case allowed it to go forward, and we think here it will allow it to go forward. The final [exception] is the most egregious one. If it is an egregious act against the precepts of humanity, the courts in the United States have said that then [the case] is allowed to go forward. I do not know of any more egregious act we have ever seen, except possibly 9/11, where a country knew of a bad act that was taking place, allowed it to come to the United States, and allowed it to permeate our society and our people. It has caused a massive economic meltdown, and people are dying. This is not just numbers. It seems that on TV programs these days, every person is just a number. You see 2000, 3000 [people dead from the coronavirus]. These are human beings. These are peoples’ businesses. These are people’s livelihoods. 10 million [Americans] have lost their jobs in two weeks, and it is all because China did not contain a virus they knew about and did not tell us about it when they could have. We think that is an egregious act against the precepts of humanity, and under those enhancements to the exceptions, this will go forward and be successful.

A 33-year-old Colorado man was handcuffed in front of his wife and 6-year-old daughter for allegedly violating a social distancing order.
33-year-old Matt Mooney said his young daughter was terrified the police were going to arrest him after the cops swarmed his family.
The father reassured his daughter they were doing nothing wrong by playing tee-ball in the park, however the police cuffed him in front of the little girl.

Matt Mooney feels Brighton police owe him a huge apology. The 33-year-old says he was handcuffed at Donelson Park in front of his 6-year-old daughter Sunday afternoon after police told him he violated the state’s social distancing guidelines.
Mooney told the FOX31 Problem Solvers he refused to provide his identification to three police officers because he was confident he wasn’t doing anything unlawful by playing tee-ball with his wife and daughter at the park.
“She’s like, ‘Daddy, I don’t want you to get arrested.’ At this point I’m thinking, ‘There’s no way they’re going to arrest me, this is insane.’ I’m telling her, ‘Don’t worry, Daddy’s not going to get arrested. I’ve done nothing wrong. Don’t worry about it,’ and then they arrest me.”

A Los Angeles doctor prescribing hydroxychloroquine in conjunction with zinc is seeing a 100% success rate with every patient he has treated suffering from the Coronavirus.
“Every patient I’ve prescribed [hydroxychloroquine] to has been very, very ill and within 8 to 12 hours, they were basically symptom-free,” said Dr. Anthony Cardillo, the CEO of Mend Urgent Care.
“So clinically I am seeing a resolution” for people suffering from the Coronavirus.

There is not a single country in the world today with over 16,000 total coronavirus deaths.
On Sunday night the IMHE cut their numbers in half.
Today the IMHE model used by the CDC and Dr. Birx and Dr. Fauci estimate the total US coronavirus deaths to be 81,766 by August 4th.
And 81,000 by May 21st.
The actual numbers are already below their current models. — by a huge margin!

CBS News posted a video of a nurse who claimed she quit her job after being asked to work in a coronavirus ICU without a face mask.
“America is not prepared, and nurses are not being protected,” said the ICU nurse in the video. “I quit my job today. I went into work and I was assigned to a COVID patient on an ICU unit that has been converted to a designated COVID unit. None of the nurses are wearing masks.”
The video now appears to be inaccurate. Instead of verifying the legitimacy of the video, CBS added background music and captions to highlight a woman who lied about her workplace situation. The woman, who goes by Imaris on social media, has a prominent following on Instagram.

Prior to CBS picking up this video, Imaris posted on her public Facebook page that she has anxiety and bi-polar depression and had not been an employee at the hospital for over a year. She mentioned in her post that she was unsure if she was ready to return to her job.
Imaris also said the growing volume of information on coronavirus “triggers” her.
“The information overload can be hard for me to sift through as far as what is credible and what is not, it triggers me,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
