I noticed that captcha goes to 8 characters during high FF likelihood stages, and I think the board lag is extra filtering done to ferret out posts that could shut the board down again. It would be similar to the delay they used to have in live broadcasts to beep out unexpected profanity.

I think the message is that Trump is the leader who sees the big picture, as opposed to Biden.
Trump campaign at this point has to hammer home the, "What Would Biden Do?" message.
Add to that, a big picture leader would not blindly follow someone like Fauci's recommendations. He would weigh the health risk vs. economic risk and judge accordingly. Again, WWBD?
