>cashiers and clerks are heroes now? how much lower can the bar go? welfare recipients?
Listen up - you fucking cunt…
I know three people who work in grocery stores, where sales are up in some cases, 200+%. The work load on clerks and those stocking the shelves is equal to that percentage. These people are therefore working 200+% harder, while having been given a temporary raise of a dollar or two.
These chain supermarkets are reaping massive profits, while the workers on the frontline of their markets have been tossed a few pennies, for a work-load that is double of what they were previously expected to accomplish.
They are dealing with a huge amount of stress and anxiety that largely comes at them from the masses of asses. They are coping with people fighting in the aisles and people screaming at them. They are having to call the cops every day because of the fucking zombie clown hordes. None of this was never part of their job description.
They deal everyday with assholes who clearly exhibit signs of flu, yet they chose to come out to do more panic buying anyway. You may not want to call these people "heroes", but you'd better hope to God these people keep doing their job.
And rather than being compared to "welfare recipients" by egotistical assholes, these people should be recognized for the great jobs they are doing, during historical and trying times.
