My son is a cashier. I worry every shift he works. I was a cashier for many years. I never had to wear a mask and gloves and be behind a plastic shield and be constantly disinfecting the area around me. I kept it clean, of course, but not to the level that is happening now.
He has a wife and his wife's brother to care for (her father died in August) he needs his job. On a good day in retail people are pigs to cashiers. These people hanging in there under these circumstances for the rest of us are heros in my book. I am grateful I'm not doing it. I pray for my son and all his co-workers across the country. And he is no snowflake, that's for sure, and neither am I.
