I admit… A single strafe by an A-10 would turn that whole ordeal right the fuck around.
It is a trap, though. Classic Pharisee trap where the two obvious reactions are poison. When a prostitute was brought before Jesus and accused (some historians suggest this could have been a skit recorded in John), it was a trap. Condemn her, and he was no different than they were. Rebuke the Pharisee, and overturn Mosaic law. The response was simple and brilliant - to declare that only those without sin were right to cast the first stone against the woman accused of being a harlot. He then asked where her accusers were after the Pharisee left, and as she had no accusers remaining, was told to go and sin no more.
As such, I suspect the reaction by POTUS will be a yet unanticipated response. Something that satisfies both the law and the need for reform while dispersing the trap.
