After suffering the most illegal trial imaginable, he was humiliated, beaten, kicked, punched, mocked, crowned with thorns, robed in purple rags, scourged with a cat-o-nine-tails to within an inch of his life, and then nailed to a cross in shame between two thieves.
On this day, 1,988 years ago, mankind used God's love for us to kill God's only begotten Son.
Honor the sacrifice by accepting the pardon Jesus bought for (you) on that cross, with his blood.
