Airforce bratt here. Dad would track this off Sitka. HAPPENS EVERY FRIGGEN DAY. At least it did back in the 80s and 90s. Just about everyday migs would follow a commercial flight and the US would scramble 16's to intercept. It happened constantly. Dad retired in 98 and sadly past away shortly after that, so I don't know if anything changed after that.
