Find a local meat processor. Look them up. They still process beef, etc and source from local farms. Or buy straight from a farm and order it delivered to the processor. Yes, you'll pay a lot at one time, but you can have a freezer full of beef that you know where it came from and how it was fed. And it averages out to about $3/pound for everything including steaks. Plus a local farmer gets paid in hard times. Win Win.
