Self-destructive behaviors are promoted as fashionable, mental illnesses and perversions like pedophilia are normalized by stages, and people who disagree are scorned and humiliated publicly. Programs like "common core" are created and used to turn kids off learning. People are encouraged to be passive, to listen to the experts, to be outraged by this, to fear and hate that. We are never, ever encouraged to think for ourselves.
