Seems to me you're waiting for the 'public' to not 'revolt' when the rule of law is reestablished. I hate to clue you in on this, but there will never be a time when that doesn't happen. There will never be a time when those in power simply and peacefully give up that power. Abused power has always been and will continue to be taken by force from those who have it. Application of force is always messy. You're going to have to make a mess. You keep saying this is a war, well, do you know of any war that wasn't messy? I don't. Quit trying to be he first one in history to wage and win a non messy war. Those do not exist.

Either do as you say you will, and restore rule of law and equal justice under said law.
