>United States or [u]nited [s]tates

>One is a corporation

The other is a description.

A 'corporation' in the broad sense just means you gave it a name, the ability to own stuff, be sued, etc. Cities, towns, states, and the US can't not be corporations. But don't confuse this concept with a business corporation.

Snow is no unfamiliar to us. So are brief power outages do to said snow. It was a minor nuisance.

A bigger factor was the surprise/frustration/angst. When I went into work it was raining. Proper weather for mid April. When I got out there were 6in of heavy snow on the ground and on my car. "WTF!!! I though we were done with this shit!!"
