Their live stuff is very similar to the studio recordings, unlike LedZep who improvised perhaps a bit too much. Trower was another artist who was excellent at sticking to the tune without going too far astray.
The only vocalist who comes close to James Dewar is Paul Rogers.
Trower makes the best guitar faces. He's not that fast (neither is Gilmour) but damn they both are so great.
