>AT. CURRENT. PRICES.

Exactly. Prices would explode. And the people who hold gold and silver would receive an undeserved windfall. That can't happen. Trump isn't going to burn down the economy so a few goldbugs can be kings of the ashes.

>You don't know how much quinine any manufacturer is putting in their tonic water.

We don't even know that quinine even works or, if it does, what the equivalency is.

The FDA limit for quinine in tonic water is 83mg/L [1]. The dosage for HCQS is about 400mg per day [2]. You you'd have to drink at least 5 liters of the stuff per day to get an equivalent mass dosage. I bet you'd pee it out as fast as you could drink it.

But, really, these are very different molecules. So I'll be surprised if the studies that will be done in the next few years show it to be equivalent.

>at least 5 liters of the stuff per day

Found a lab report that measured the quinine in generic tonic water at 54mg/L. So make that 8 liters per day.

>The viruses just share a mechanism of attacking hemoglobin.

Viruses don't care about hemoglobin. They invade a cell, reproduce like crazy, until they pop the cell. And red blood cells are not attacked by the virus.
