This is curious. It describes a secondary effect that contributes to how the virus kills the host and how effect is inhibited by chloroquine. However, what I've read indicated that these drugs have been shown to help clear the body of the virus faster than seen in control groups. That suggests it must directly interferes with the activities of the virus or (less likely) helps the immune system.
You'll have to drink several liters per day, if it even works.

It appears that quinine is not as potent as HCQS. So take the above estimate for tonic water consumption and increase accordingly.
