either. The stereotypes were just insult to injury, and the governmental punishment went on after the Depression, too.
POTUS made the mistake one time of mentioning Lincoln at a rally in the SE and you could have heard a pin drop. Not the reaction he hoped for, surely, and being from NY, really likely had absolutely no idea how the South has been punished all this time with investments in areas up North, in the Central and Western US and omitting the south (except some places in FL (NASA)).
I hope that POTUS will do something to reverse that sad state of affairs.
