GA anon here to tell you, it's official:
This Land Ain't Your Land, This Land Ain't My Land…
Gov. Kemp renews SiP EO til May 13th.
This means if you like to Camp or Hike, forget it. (Most of the US, in fact)
Some state parks open (if you can get in), but TRAILS CLOSED
ALL DNR camping facilities Closed
ALL USFS camping facilities except some horse & ATV Closed
Dispersed Camping - Closed
Appalachian Trail - Closed
Blood Mountain - Closed
In fact ALL major trailheads in North GA are CLOSED.
(Some of THE safest places you could go plus great health benefits)
In anyone thought these were "public lands" in the current version of America, think again.
Public parks - Nope
Rights-of-way - Nope
Waterways - Nope
These are ALL Government Lands,
and you can use these 'public facilities' only when & how the Government says you can.
Also, if you think you own your own 'private' property, you are sadly mistaken.
Try not paying the Government their vig (taxes) & see what happens!
I knew Kemp was a coward.
