Honestly. You don't even understand what "God" "is". Probably, because you spent too many years getting brainwashed by corrupt individuals who've claimed their version/interpretation of the Life of Jesus is the only path to "salvation". The Bible has been comped for awhile, just like the institution that peddles the false/misleading information. The only reason why we even have their version as a major "religion", is because those who would not accept these blasphemes were brutally slaughtered, much like Jesus was himself, for challenging the "official" narrative.
Anyone who reads the Gospel of Thomas can see that there are similarities between those texts and the accounts of the Gospels in the Bible. While our dating methods are not perfect, there are several clues that suggest Thomas was written/recorded before the modern Gospels of the Bible. Also worth noting, the Gospels that are recorded in the Bible seem to be "missing" a significant portion of the Life of Jesus, despite claims that this was the most important Being ever to walk the Earth. Why is that? They remember a story about wine from when He was 10, but have no knowledge of what happened during the next 20 years of his Life? C'mon, now.
You have yet to realize the importance for the original recording of the Bible. Much like other "religious" and/or "mythological" texts from around the world, it was a compilation of [events] that forever changed "Life" on Earth as we know it. If you study other things besides the narrow POV that are recorded in the Bible, then a MUCH "Bigger Picture" is revealed. Yes. There's A LOT moar to it than just trying to figure out who, or rather what, "God is"…
Jesus tried explaining to people how and why the things they were being taught/told by "high priests" were, in fact, not truth. Those pharisees were con-men. Jesus exposed their fraud. And they killed him for it. Then they were able to create a "new religion", in His name, to continue to exploit the rest of humanity, after their previous lies were exposed for all to see. Then they slaughtered everyone who opposed their "new religion", until the only people who were left were those willing to submit to said authorities, out of fear for their lives and those of their loved ones. The discussion is very deep, but ultimately it's necessary. Mainly because the manner in which the elites have exploited us through religion has created a divide that will last as long as ignorant people are allowing themselves to be brainwashed into "group thinks" that think they know everything, because their version said so. If you are all for "holy" to "prove" your point that your version is "correct", then you clearly fighting for the forces of evil, and you are definitely not doing the "Good" you might think you are…
