I think you're mistaken if you're using the "6% lost forever" as a metric to determine how many need to be awake. That 6% is the number that will see the truth and hate it.
Judging by what we've seen so far, the vast majority doesn't need to be smacked over the head with the truth. It can be drip-fed through pop culture and standard awareness.
96% of Americans didn't need to die in 9/11 to shift the country dramatically. The same will be true to swing the opposite direction.
I imagine it only takes a small number of people in the right place and time to turn things around.
