Stole it from Digital Equipment Corp.

I worked on General Automation systems in the 1970;s and 80's. Used the same DOS. CDC SMD and Hawk drives, plus others.

Seattle Computer Co. - what a joke. DOS been around longer than them.

Got rid of those manuals long ago. Look up General Automation and Digital Equipment Corp. Good luck, not much info has survived publicly.

>if DOS was around forever, it was open source or public doman.

DOS, doesn't always mean Disk Operating System, could go back to the Drum Operating System used in the Litton ASQ-61 computer. Just a factoid.

If DOS was open source, then Gates shouldn't have been issued a patent.

>He interned at Digital Equipment Corp in Massachusetts.

Would explain knowledge of DOS and give him access to the s/w.
