could be. maybe a designed evolutionary step to handle a more electrified world.

it was a hard 24 hours of not being able to breath, and the most painful aspect was any cold air outside. dizzy from lack of oxygen, difficulty thinking.

nonstop full body very high-pitched coughing so your ribs and lungs and kidneys ached to the point of tears and moaning.

coughing produced unbelievable amounts or brown or orange phlegm.

but not just demoralizing muscle pain, but bone and nerve and marrow pain. blurry vision and hallucinations.

if something changed and rewired your entire dna, i imagine it would feel like this.

loss of voice followed.

Oxygen toxicity

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen_toxicity

Oxygen toxicity is a condition resulting from the harmful effects of breathing molecular oxygen (O

2) at increased partial pressures. Severe cases can result in cell damage and death, with effects most often seen in the central nervous system, lungs, and eyes. Historically, the central nervous system condition was called the Paul Bert effect, and the pulmonary condition the Lorrain Smith effect, after the researchers who pioneered the discoveries and descriptions in the late 19th century. Oxygen toxicity is a concern for underwater divers, those on high concentrations of supplemental oxygen (particularly premature babies), and those undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

went through it twice. no medical care.

once in december-january and again in march. march much worse.

was quite awful. pain the worst experienced in my life.

laid on my back on a hard floor to prevent any pressure on my chest. thought of it as bronchitis both times since it never went to my throat or sinuses. possibly pneumonia later, not sure.

wrapped in blankets, turned heater way up, gulped orange juice.

i'm northern and knew it clearly wasn't a flu so i didn't think of it as related to the chinese virus at the time.

in hindsight, based on others describing their symptoms, maybe covid.

any cold air outside after leaving a super heated home amplified all the symptoms and made breathing extremely difficult and painful.

the cold air outside would have had a significantly higher oxygen level than my 85-87 heated degree home.

was relating that experience to seniors in extra warm nursing homes being given oxygen tubes.

fever lasted for nearly a week the second time in march.
