it was a hard 24 hours of not being able to breath, and the most painful aspect was any cold air outside. dizzy from lack of oxygen, difficulty thinking.
nonstop full body very high-pitched coughing so your ribs and lungs and kidneys ached to the point of tears and moaning.
coughing produced unbelievable amounts or brown or orange phlegm.
but not just demoralizing muscle pain, but bone and nerve and marrow pain. blurry vision and hallucinations.
if something changed and rewired your entire dna, i imagine it would feel like this.

Oxygen toxicity is a condition resulting from the harmful effects of breathing molecular oxygen (O
2) at increased partial pressures. Severe cases can result in cell damage and death, with effects most often seen in the central nervous system, lungs, and eyes. Historically, the central nervous system condition was called the Paul Bert effect, and the pulmonary condition the Lorrain Smith effect, after the researchers who pioneered the discoveries and descriptions in the late 19th century.
