REQUESTING DIGS ON ERIC YUAN

His online bio is very sparse. He credits Bill Gates as an inspiration.

Chinese actor. Inorganic rise of Zoom. Worth a look.

https://indianexpress.com/article/technology/tech-news-technology/zoom-ceo-eric-yuan-interesting-facts-you-probably-didnt-know-6357956/

>In 1997, Yuan was hired as a software engineer at a small video conferencing company called WebEx. In 2007, the firm WebEx was acquired by Cisco Systems for $3.2 billion. Yuan rose to the rank of Vice President before he left Cisco in June 2011

That is the full work history I was able to find on all sites. Applied for a Visa 9 times and was rejected.

Same trivia on all sites. No substantial information on Eric Yuan's identity or bio.

https://nypost.com/2020/04/10/chinese-spies-are-trying-to-snoop-on-zoom-chats-experts-say/

>In a blog post earlier this month, Yuan admitted that Zoom โ€œdid not design the product with the foresight that, in a matter of weeks, every person in the world would suddenly be working, studying, and socializing from home.โ€

>The US officials told the magazine that there is โ€œno evidenceโ€ that Zoom has been compromised by China โ€” it routs some of its encryption keys through Chinese servers โ€” but said that the platformโ€™s security gaps may leave it vulnerable.

Spy op. Shovels needed.

I found something. Money.

https://techcrunch.com/2017/01/17/sequoia-invests-100-million-in-zoom-video-conferencing-service/

Zoom got 100 million from Sequioa Capital. Only TechCrunch covered it, but I can embed the interview.

I'll dig on Sequioa.

I've scoured Google and duckdyckgo. It's hard to find ANY information about Jamie's family, and Nancy's relationships are rather well hidden too. Can neither confirm nor debunk relationship at this point, but autocomplete suggests that other people have made the same connection.
