George Stephen Morrison

Morrison was commander of US naval forces in Gulf of Tonkin during the Gulf of Tonkin Incident August 1964, which sparked an escalation of American involvement in the Vietnam War.

He was father of Jim Morrison, lead singer of rock band The Doors, who died July 1971.
