I posted some COVID numbers for Russia in the last bread or two.

They've gone up sharply. I guess I got to them before today's surge was in this dataset at Russia's Ministry of Health

At this point in time, the names of things are less important to biochemistry than the molecular geometry/structure/bond strengths.

God only knows how many molecules containing quinoline are being studied right now.

A more interesting dig would be to talk to biochemists who work in pharma research at colleges and universities. Find out if anything has changed in recent years regarding how grant money is given and how people react to research that looks like it may cure HIV, Cancer or some viral disease.

Anecdotally based on the stories coming out of papers being published, it seems to me that there is a lot less suppression of research. But many people need to talk to researchers and find out to what extent the suppression has been removed.
