The WHO Lied and Created a Global Panic: Second Extensive Study Finds Coronavirus Mortality Rate Is 0.4% Not 3.4% — Similar to Seasonal Flu

A study released this week in Germany last week found the mortality rate of the coronavirus factoring in the asymptomatic cases is much lower than is being reported.

The German study found that around 15% of the population in the Gangelt had the coronavirus antibodies and were infected at some point without knowing it. Using this data the researchers concluded that the coronavirus mortality rate was 0.37%.

A second study in Iceland found that half of those tested had had the coronavirus and that only 7 in 1600 known COVID-19 cases ended in death.

This is good news.

It shows the coronavirus is only slightly more deadly than a seasonal flu.

This also means the experts at the World Health Organization were off by a factor of 10.

WHO leader, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stoked fear across the planet when he claimed the COVID-19 had a 3.4% mortality rate and then compared that to the annual estimated flu mortality rate of 0.1%.

It’s not clear if he yet understands his mistake.

Regardless, it sent the global community into a collective economic meltdown.

We don’t know how horrible the economic damage will be but we know it will be huge.

And we are still nowhere near the total flu deaths we see each year.

And now we know Tedros was off by a factor of 10!

NYT Says It Didn’t Find Any Sexual Misconduct By Biden, Beyond Past Reports Of His Unwanted Hugs And Kisses

The New York Times edited portions of an article Sunday regarding sexual assault allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden, removing a section in the piece mentioning past complaints against him.

TheNYT analyzed allegations former Senate aide Tara Reade made against Biden in the early 1990s, with the NYT concluding that it was unable to find any patterns of misconduct. The story was edited to nix a section mentioning past allegations against the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate.

“The Times found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Biden, beyond the hugs, kisses, and touching that women previously said made them uncomfortable,” TheNYT’s initial copy noted before editors nixed the sentence’s second clause after the story was already live.

The final copy, which does not include an editor’s note explaining why the part was edited, now simply says: “The Times found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Biden.”

Interesting, the “beyond hugs, kisses and touching that women previously said made them uncomfortable” caveat was deleted in the story though the tweet with that caveat remains up. pic.twitter.com/F9m3EBMWnU

A Sunday tweet from TheNYT including that quote was also deleted shortly after the piece was edited. TheNYT has not responded to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Reade accused Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993 while employed as one of his Senate staffers. Biden’s presidential campaign denied the allegation

Reade filed a criminal complaint Saturday accusing the former Delaware senator of assaulting “her in a Senate corridor, shoving his hand under her skirt and penetrating her with his fingers,” Business Insider reported Saturday.

“We were alone, and it was the strangest thing,” Reade said in a March interview with podcast host and writer, Katie Halper.

“There was no, like, exchange really, he just had me up against the wall. His hands were on me and underneath my clothes. And then, he went, he went down my skirt and then up inside it, and he penetrated me with his fingers,” she added.

The statute of limitations has already passed, Business Insider reported. TheNYT noted the criminal complaint in its analysis Sunday, noting that, “Filing a false police report may be punishable by a fine and imprisonment.”

While Thousands Of Americans Need Food, Nation’s Largest Farms Are Destroying Millions Of Pounds Of Fresh Goods That They Can No Longer Sell

After the unprecedented floods in 2019 and the resulting destruction of millions of acres of agriculture land, farmers are facing another devastating threat.

With restaurants, hotels and schools closed, many of the nation’s largest farms dump thousands of gallons of milk, smash millions of eggs, and plow acres of fresh vegetables that they can no longer sell.

An impressive pandemic food waste!

In Wisconsin and Ohio, farmers are dumping thousands of gallons of fresh milk into lagoons and manure pits.

An Idaho farmer has dug huge ditches to bury 1 million pounds of onions.

And in South Florida, a region that supplies much of the Eastern half of the United States with produce, tractors are crisscrossing bean and cabbage fields, plowing perfectly ripe vegetables back into the soil.

The amount of food waste is staggering

After weeks of concern about shortages in grocery stores and mad scrambles to find the last box of pasta or toilet paper roll, many of the nation’s largest farms are struggling with another ghastly effect of the pandemic. They are being forced to destroy tens of millions of pounds of fresh food that they can no longer sell.

The closing of restaurants, hotels and schools has left some farmers with no buyers for more than half their crops. And even as retailers see spikes in food sales to Americans who are now eating nearly every meal at home, the increases are not enough to absorb all of the perishable food that was planted weeks ago and intended for schools and businesses.

The amount of waste is staggering:

The nation’s largest dairy cooperative, Dairy Farmers of America, estimates that farmers are dumping as many as 3.7 million gallons of milk each day.

A single chicken processor is smashing 750,000 unhatched eggs every week.

Many farmers say they have donated part of the surplus to food banks and Meals on Wheels programs, which have been overwhelmed with demand.

But there is only so much perishable food that charities with limited numbers of refrigerators and volunteers can absorb.

Virginia is first Southern state to provide sweeping anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people

Governor Ralph Northam today announced he has signed the Virginia Values Act, making Virginia the first state in the South to enact comprehensive protections for the LGBTQ community against discrimination in housing, employment, public spaces, and credit applications.

Senate Bill 868, sponsored by Senator Adam Ebbin, prohibits discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in housing, public and private employment, public accommodations, and access to credit. The legislation also extends important protections to Virginians on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, age, marital status, disability, and status as a veteran.

“This legislation sends a strong, clear message—Virginia is a place where all people are welcome to live, work, visit, and raise a family,” said Governor Northam. “We are building an inclusive Commonwealth where there is opportunity for everyone, and everyone is treated fairly. No longer will LGBTQ Virginians have to fear being fired, evicted, or denied service in public places because of who they are.”

“With the Governor’s signing of the Virginia Values Act, we have made discrimination against our gay, lesbian and transgender friends, family, neighbors and co-workers in employment, housing and public accommodation illegal in the Commonwealth of Virginia,” said Speaker of the House Eileen Filler-Corn. “It is now the law of the land that every Virginian can work hard, earn a living wage, and live their lives without fear of discrimination based on who they are or who they love. A tremendous victory.”

“I am grateful to Governor Northam for signing the Virginia Values Act, which represents years of dedicated work by activists, legislators, and progressive members of our business community to ensure full protection for every Virginian under the law,” said Senator Adam Ebbin. “Sadly, during times of crisis like these, discrimination rises, and its effects become more apparent. When jobs are scarce and housing unaffordable, the reality of who you are must be an additional hurdle to putting food on the table or providing shelter for your family. This law provides important new protections.”

“After decades of hard work, we are closer to making Virginia the Commonwealth that we all want it to be,” said Delegate Mark Sickles. “This new law will bring protections that Virginians need to live, work, and access services free from discrimination and harassment. I am grateful to Governor Northam for signing this legislation, and to the broad coalition of dedicated advocates, legislators, constituents, faith leaders, and members of the business community, who worked together to pass the most comprehensive civil rights bill in Virginia’s history this session.”
