Donald Trump’s friend and donor Stanley Chera dies of coronavirus
US president had earlier spoken of friend who was in coma after becoming infected
Real estate developer Chera was in his late 70s
A friend and donor to Donald Trump who the US president had said was in a coma and seriously ill after becoming infected with the coronavirus has died.
Stanley I. Chera’s death Saturday was reported by The Real Deal, which covers the New York real estate industry. The publication cited unidentified sources who have worked with Crown Acquisitions, the firm Chera founded and ran. Chera was in his late 70s.
A White House official on Sunday confirmed Chera’s identity and ties to the president. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity to share details about Trump’s personal friendships.
Trump had spoken at recent White House briefings about a friend who had fallen ill with the virus, which has killed more than 21,000 people in the US.

Kentucky Church Parking Lot Boobytrapped with Nails! …Police Take Down Licence Plates of Church Attendees, Leave Harassing Notes on Cars!
Maryville Baptist Church in Kentucky was targeted by both police and protesters on Sunday as they defiantly held Easter service.
Prior to the start of services, Rev. Jack Roberts found piles of nails scattered at the entrances to the parking lot.

The nails appeared to have been dumped at the entrances to block cars from entering the church that is in the Bullitt County community of Hillview, just south of the Jefferson County line,” the Courier Journal reports.
Kentucky State Police also made an appearance at the church, recording the license plates and placing notices on the roughly 50 cars in the parking lot. The notices said that those in the car and everyone in their household must now self quarantine for fourteen days.

Nicaraguan president missing in action for nearly one month and counting
During Nicaragua’s devastating civil war in the 1980s, youthful revolutionary Daniel Ortega toured every town in the Central American nation, clad in his green Sandinista uniform.
Now in his second stint as president, the 74-year-old leftist leader has disappeared from public view for nearly a month, raising questions about his health and whereabouts as the world reels from the spread of the coronavirus.
As in 2014, another time he dropped off the map, his absence has even prompted speculation he may have died.
The government did not respond to a request for comment on the reasons for Ortega’s absence, his health or whether he is alive.
However, a government official close to Ortega said he was alive, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Over the years, the former guerilla has suffered two heart attacks and developed high cholesterol and other ailments, said the official. Since then, the president has been increasingly protective of his health, said the source.
Ortega’s last public appearance was on March 12, in which he spoke briefly via video from a living room.
“He has always fled from problems; no wonder he is absent in the midst of the coronavirus crisis,” said Dora Maria Tellez, a former minister in Ortega’s first government in the 1980s who later broke with the president.
Ortega also disappeared for several weeks in 1998, after his adopted stepdaughter accused him of abuse, which he denied.
During his current absence, Vice President Rosario Murillo, his wife, has spoken publicly every day, fueling speculation that Ortega will eventually emerge to oversee a campaign to defeat the coronavirus.

Philadelphia Changes Mask Policy After Video Goes Viral of Man Being Dragged Off Bus
A shocking video surfaced on Twitter last week, showing a group of Philadelphia police officers dragging a man off of a bus. What did he do so wrong to be aggressively pulled off of a bus? It turns out; he wasn’t wearing a mask on the city bus.
It’s no surprise that the video went viral with people voicing their shock at four officers pulling a passenger off of a bus as he repeatedly cursed. Many wondered, “Is this still America?”
There was such an outcry that Philadelphia’s transit authority has revoked the policy requiring face coverings to ride the bus.
