As long as there are armed Americans willing to defend constitutional rights and God-given freedom at any cost (liberty or death), those rights will be preserved. Currently this means the patriots in the military are risking their lives for the geater good of everyone, and probably why Q says "US Military = savior of mankind." I imagine they are doing everything possible to prevent the average civilian patriot from needing to contribute by gun. But just the fact that it's a possibility is important, and why {they} must disarm the population before {they} can try to control everyone by force.
Just thinking out loud, what if the mid-tribulation rapture theory is correct, and what if we're actually nearing the end of the first half of the final 7 years now.
As I understand it, the first half was foretold to be a period of great economic success and optimism. Then suddenly the second half turns into complete tyrranical control and surveillance, where everyone is tagged and tracked. And those who refuse are, at first, prevented from buying anything. Then eventually they are hunted down and beheaded.
