>COV, SARS-COV-2, is impairing hemoglobin oxygen transport?
Yes, apparently. Doc and I were looking at this over the weekend. See medcram.com (all I can remember)
Ok found the medcram vid. embedding.
Coronavirus Pandemic Update 52: Ivermectin Treatment; Does COVID-19 Attack Hemoglobin?

Anyway, this MIGHT explain the more severe attack on men than women, since women tend to run nearly anemic on iron. Men have more iron in their blood. Then again maybe not. One could also argue that women should get hit harder, because less O2 carry capacity?
The way to verify the relationship would be to compare post menopausal women who retain iron similar to men, vs child bearing just pre-menopause stage. There should be a difference between pre-post menopause women in the same age categories.
