As a empath myself, I respectfully disagree. There are empaths, but I don't know a lot of them IRL.
You'd be surprised, but it's not mindreading. It's emotions you feel. Also my experience is that good pokerplayers know this and tend to 'shield' their emotions, therefore making it harder to 'read' them.
