Why not? Most religions are adaptions/corruptions of Egyptian mythology. The concept is only absurd if we think of dynasties as being national in nature. But Dynasties are families.
Many royals claim roman decent. But where did the romans descend from? Egypt? What if all royals are from the Pharoah line?
