same goals here. may have to relocate for a farm or start small.

2 acres is plenty 5 acres is too much just for gardens and fruit trees etc. especially when you size equipment to the operation.

I run david bradley garden tractors and they work well.

But they're like a mule. They'll kick you and they'll kick you hard if you don't watch out.

I'll keep an eye on your board. thanks.

>keep a family together

the powers that be have dangled carrots in front of everybody just for the reason of busting up families.

my in-laws come from a family of pastors

their whole family was busted up and scattered to the four winds.

Literally.

They all live in Wisconsin, Nebraska, California, Florida, Kansas, North Dakota and elsewhere. Siblings and cousins.

Now they're all in their 80's.

My family has the same issues but most of them are still in Dakotas and Iowa. A couple that aren't are in Colorado and Illinois.

I don't

but expand your thinking

what's a bedroom

what's a house?

what can be done to get around the "laws"

bedroom is a "room" with a window and a closet

what happens when there is no closet?

What happens when the ceiling isn't 8' tall? are lofts good places to sleep?

it's just a room. Can't be called a bedroom for tax purposes in some jurisdictions.

What about living in a church and using room divider panels to make bedrooms?

What is "popular" in your area?

What does the assessor "know" how to value?

What can you live in that the assessor would be fucked on valuing?

cob house? underground house?

Expand your thinking.

Lots of ways to get around the fucking "boxes" they put you in.

Never said that they were easy. Or that you'll have the same scenery. Hell even the same job. But there ARE options out there.
