The COV-ID Litmus: PENCE & the Surveillance Testing Push
Caught in the Middle w/ Vanilla PENCE –
Tonight on the Ingraham Angle, PENCE really pushed the surveillance testing narrative.

Summarized Observation:
PENCE hedged heavily, obscured/deflected on the timetable to re-open the country, while placing the burden of when the US is to re-open on the American PPL by strongly implying that the country won't reopen unless the American PPL 'co-operate w/ the surveillance testing plan":
PENCE: "We want to do it at the time that is 'responsible and safe' for the American ppl, but as Dr. Fauci suggests a big part of that will be testing… not only diagnosis… but what the experts call 'a kind if surveillance testing' We brought our entire testing team together… we are developing a framework as we speak for a broad range of resources to be available across the country."
Laura pushes back: "the concern is whether these goals being set by health care professionals require by some measures 6-7m tests a week or per day would be necessary to reach that ultimate testing bar. Can the country wait?"
PENCE: "make no mistake we are going to listen carefully to our healthcare experts and ensure we have a sufficient amount of both the diagnostic and the surveillance testing to allow many biz to re-open…"
Laura proceeds to bring up the differing timetables pushed by POTUS vs. Dr. Fauci, and asks if there is a dispute between POTUS and Fauci.
PENCE: "the timing will all be determined by the president… when we are at 'responsible moment' and on track to put the corona virus in the past and 'that will be all in the hands of the American People'."
Laura brings up Americans privacy and civil liberties concerns w/ re: to medical tracking
PENCE: "We will always protect the privacy and the liberty of the American PPL. It will be an important part of not only re-opening America but 'keeping America open'.
Laura pushes back by bringing up up concerns about the prospective tests accuracy – false positives/negatives, etc.
PENCE counters by saying the FDA is about to approve an antibody test in days and stresses that [they] 'will create 20m new antibody tests per month'.
Pence seems to go out of his way to heavily reinforce Fauci's narrative– kept using the terms, 'safe and responsible moment'. My favorite line of his, "Putting the Corona Virus in the past is in the "hands of the American PPl" ??
Laura pushed him on civil liberties/privacy concerns. He doesn't address it really and just said, "we will always protect the privacy of the American ppl."
*Compare/contrast w/ POTUS statement at the Rose Garden CV Presser today, where mentioned, 'citizens in line to be tested in giant Walmart parking lots….'

Conclusion – is he just part of the show, or is he truly 'failing the COV-ID litmus test'?
