In some way, yes, no doubt, in other ways the bluegrass players are far more talented playing clean. Distortion can hide a lot of mistakes.

Yale MIT and many others have their curriculum listed online and there are many college lectures on youtube and other places. The middle & high schoolers will see right thru their self inflicted indoctrination playing out right in front of their parents' eyes.
