âMichiganders Against Excessive Quarantineâ Explodes On Facebook As Protests Rage
After Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer issued new oppressive regulations, even barring private gatherings âof any size,â Garrett Soldano started a Facebook page called âMichiganders Against Excessive Quarantine.â
âI was like, âIâm going to reach out to 500 people, hopefully there are 500 people like me,'â he told FOX-2 in Detroit.
The page now has 334,000 subscribers.
âWhen you are taking away our basic freedoms, when you are telling us what we can, and canât buy, that is where I have a problem. That is where I have decided to stand tall,â Soldano told the station. âMichiganders are hurting right now. And people are hurting to provide for their own family. And thatâs where I have a problem. That is where this virus does not have the teeth to support that.â
More than 25,000 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Michigan and more than 1,600 have died, according to the Michigan Department of Health.
The Facebook page is exploding just as âOperation Gridlockâ got underway at the the Michigan State Capitol on Wednesday. Thousands of fed-up residents jammed the roads in Lansing to protest Whitmerâs stay-at-home order, one of the most restrictive in the country.
The operation, organized by the Michigan Conservative Coalition (MCC), directed protesters to circle the capitol, honking their horns. Some protesters sported signs that said, âtyranny worse than the virusâ and âhonk if you love liberty.â

Bolsonaro ORDERED by Brazil lawmakers to disclose results of his Covid-19 tests
Brazilâs legislators have cornered President Jair Bolsonaro on Covid-19, obliging him to show evidence of his coronavirus status. He claimed heâd tested negative twice, yet refused to make the results public.
The countryâs Chamber of Deputies submitted a formal request to the presidency on Wednesday, giving it 30 days to release documents on Bolsonaroâs coronavirus tests. Refusal to provide the information to the legislators is apparently not an option, as it would violate Article 50 of Brazilâs constitution and invoke criminal liability.
Bolsonaro was tested twice for the new coronavirus in March, after he returned from the United States, where heâd met his US counterpart Donald Trump and other high-ranking officials. Though the Brazilian president insisted he was not infected by the dreaded disease, he still refused to make the actual data from his tests publicly available.
Brazilâs leader has become one of the most prominent coronavirus-deniers in recent weeks, repeatedly claiming that the pandemic was blown out of proportion and insisting that lockdown measures would have way too grave an impact on the countryâs economy, making them an unacceptable price to pay for lowering health risks.
Such a stance put Bolsonaro at odds with local authorities across Brazil, who tried to implement some anti-coronavirus measures, as well as with his own health minister Wanderson de Oliveira, who believed the pandemic to be a legitimate threat.
The row between Bolsonaro and de Oliveira ultimately led to the downfall of the minister, who resigned on Wednesday. Shortly before he stepped down, media reports suggested that the official expected to be fired by the president later this week â and apparently moved preemptively.
So far, Brazil has recorded over 25,700 coronavirus cases, with more than 1,500 deaths. While Bolsonaroâs laissez-faire approach might seem to be working, the country has carried out a relatively small number of tests for Covid-19, and the actual spread of the disease might be significantly higher.
Worldwide, the coronavirus has already affected more than two million people, killing almost 130,000. Around 500,000 people have recovered from the disease.

Pelosi Says Trump Cutting Off Funding to WHO âIllegalâ â Vows it Will be âSwiftly Challengedâ
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday said President Trumpâs decision to halt US funding to the World Health Organization was âillegal.â
President Trump on Tuesday announced he is instructing his administration to âhaltâ US funding of the World Health Organization âwhile a review is conducted.â
âWe have deep concerns whether Americaâs generosity has been put to the best use possible.â
US lawmakers last week called for WHO Director Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to resign for âdeceiving the worldâ by allowing China to cover up the truth about the Coronavirus.

Jussie Smollett reportedly visited a gay bathhouse in Chicago with one of his alleged attackers
Source claims they had a sexual relationship
Disgraced former "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett reportedly had a sexual relationship with his one of his alleged "attackers" and visited an upscale bathhouse with him, a source told the New York Post, according to a Page Six story posted Wednesday.
What are the details?
Smollett and his alleged attacker Abimbola "Abel" Osundairo reportedly engaged in sexual relations and even visited a Chicago bathhouse for the elite, according to the report.
An insider told the Post, "They used to party together and he had a sexual relationship with [Abel]. They went to this affluent Chicago bathhouse multiple times and they had to show ID. It's known as a bathhouse where a lot of affluent black gay men hang out. There should be a record of [their visits]."
Smollett alleged that he was the victim of a racially motivated attack in 2019. According to reports, the Osundairo brothers reportedly helped Smollett stage the alleged attack. Smollett pleaded not guilty to related charges after Chicago police determined that the alleged attack was nothing more than a hoax.
The former "Empire" actor initially faced 16 counts related to making false statements to police. However, he agreed to community service and a $10,000 fine in exchange for the charges being dropped.
You can read more on the background of Smollett's alleged hoax case here and here.
What else?
This isn't the first time such allegations of a sexual relationship has occurred: Smollett's legal team last year insinuated there was a sexual relationship between Smollett and one of the Osundairo brothers during a "Good Morning America" interview. Abel and his brother, Ola, have both denied that they are gay and filed lawsuits against Smollett's legal team.
The Nigerian brothers said that the allegations put them at risk for harassment, injury, or even death.
Through their attorney, Gloria Schmidt, the brothers said, "We have sat back and watched lie after lie being fabricated about us in the media only so one big lie can continue to have life. These lies are destroying our character and our reputation in our personal and professional lives."
A judge dismissed the Osundairo brothers' suit in March.

WHO Blocked Doctors From Urging Border Controls To Stop Spread Of COVID-19
The World Health Organization blocked doctors from urging countries to impose border controls to stop the spread of coronavirus, it has been revealed.
While the organization was demanding countries impose zero border controls, it was also campaigning against the profiling of international travelers in order to prevent the âstigmatizationâ of Chinese people (hurt feelings).
We first reported on the WHO telling countries not to impose travel bans back at the end of January, when the organization released a statement urging against âany travel or trade restrictionâ while demanding countries not engage in âdiscriminationâ in their handling of the coronavirus outbreak.
In early February, Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus re-iterated this in a statement in which he said that travel restrictions âcan have the effect of increasing fear and stigma.â
Right up until the end of February, the WHO continued âto advise against the application of travel or trade restrictions to countries experiencing COVID-19 outbreaks,â despite the rapid spread of the disease.
It has now been revealed that medical experts who were urging countries to impose border controls were silenced.
â[WHO] actually decided not to go ahead with [travel ban recommendations] and not declare a global health emergency but there were a few dissenting voices,â reported Sky News Australia.
âSo the official meeting records say there was a divergence of views but they wonât actually go into detail about who was trying to block it. But there were doctors there who wanted to issue travel bans and the World Health Organization blocked it.â
The effort to silence medical professionals from urging countries to enact travel bans was made on January 30 during a meeting of WHO bureaucrats and health experts in Geneva, Switzerland.
A Mount Sinai study found that New York Cityâs record-high coronavirus cases and deaths were âpredominatelyâ due to travel from Europe, meaning that many more lives could have been saved if borders had been closed down earlier.
But instead, the WHO insisted that maintaining the globalist principle of the international traffic of people was more important than stopping a global pandemic.

Albuquerque Gun Store Defies Governorâs Orders By Opening Its Doors
A gun shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is self identifying as an essential business and plans on opening up, in defiance of Governor Michelle Lujan Grishamâs lock down orders.
KOB reports:
A gun shop in Albuquerque plans to reopen despite a Public Health Order from the governor that says non-essential businesses must close through April 30.
Louie Sanchez, owner of Calibers, said the order is an over-reach by the governor.
âSo, we at Calibers have decided that we are going to open up with social distancing on our range,â Sanchez said. âAnd you know what, weâre going to take this fight back to her. We feel that unless, somehow, she got a magical power to take the Second Amendment out of our constitution, that we have the right to open up.â
Several groups, including the NRA, are suing the state over the Public Health Order-â claiming itâs a violation of the Second Amendment.
The governorâs office released the following statement in response to Calibers:
The state has taken and will continue to take an extremely broad view of what is considered non-essential to public health amid this pandemic. Gun stores are hardly the only entity having to adapt as we work to stem illnesses and prevent deaths. No one is happy about closing in-person business in our state â no one, including the governor. But it is inarguable that the only way we get through this pandemic with the fewest number of deaths that we can manage is to limit travel outside of the home to the greatest extent possible â and while we as an administration unequivocally support the constitutional right to purchase a firearm, we recognize that right does not correspond to a right to congregate in a store and infect neighbors and workers and public safety officers amid an unprecedented global pandemic.?â Nora Meyers Sackett, spokesperson for Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham
