The website says NOTHING about whether or not the IRS is going to grab the payments to pay down/offset back taxes of Anons already struggling.
Their "Economic Impact Information Center" is completely silent on that.
Still paying off the huge bills from our child's cancer treatment, all credit cards still maxed out, spouseAnon unemployed/underemployed while child was in treatment, and IRS audited our taxes and decided we owe. We've never owed, and don't have the resources to dispute it. So if they direct the EIP to the debt they claim we have with them, how does that help us? It doesn't.
