Both squadrons have been disbanded, and their mission migrated to other units.

Point of interest, VQ-1 had a mid air collision with a Chinese J-8 back in 2001 when the Chinese pilot was aggressively posturing.

If you are referring to VQ2 known as the "Batmen" not sure what that has to do with Q drops. Sorry.

VQ-2 was not an attack squadron.

The VAQ's were electronic jamming and attack squadrons. They were armed with HARM missiles, all aircrew had to complete targeting and strike package training after they graduated the Duck Pond but before being sent to the RAG.

No one wants to, or will think about, bartering for PM the first weeks of trauma.

Even something as simple as buying actual sleeping bags to use inside your house if the heat goes out.

Many people should take a weekend to do a practice run of how they would cope without running water, electric, internet etc. Turn off the water, kill the panel, think it through.

It's not as easy as people assume, and use that time for "lessons learned" while you can still acquire the tools to bridge the gaps.

After an event, it's too late for a "training and learning" opportunity.
