even if time travel was possible and a John Titor character did exist, they would have no way of determining how their actions in the past would change the future
unless: you had a technology like that described in Project Looking Glass, where you could determine which past actions would result in an acceptable future time-line
I think we have slipped into various time-lines in the past, and the Mandela Effects are echoes from the time-line we left
