Just returned from the grocery store. Price gouging in affect. They say it's to discourage people from overbuying so they can stay stocked up. Fuck that. Over 4 dollars for eggs. 5 for potatoes. Meat was off the charts. 4.50/lb for hamburger. And limits on canned goods. What good does one can of soup do for a family of 4? I can't buy 'weekly' groceries but they want us to stay home. Hard to do when we can only buy enough food for a day.
Last week a case of soda was 6, this week it's 8. It's a small town so they tend to run higher, but I try to shop there for a few things just to stay local. They've priced themselves out of the range I'm willing to spend.
Yeah, I am, that's how I know the prices have gone up.
