PB - my hunch about them just being a company contracted for customer service appears correct. Look at their website anon. These are probably the people responsible for creating a phone routing system, hiring/training people who can answer applicant questions without people being on hold for hours. They probably updated their website with all these new loan programs too. I called SBA today and was on hold less than a minute, got a real person who was US Based, intelligent and answered my questions. Here is what your mystery contract company Highlight Tech LLC specializes in, it's right on their website for all to see:

Remember - the SBA does not fund loans, they back them. The loans are funded by banks - large and small. SBA will bail them out if you default which means the government (tax payers) will foot the tab if applicants fail to repay. That's all.

The application may have been there on their website (that's where I downloaded mine) but all SBA loans are processed through banks (where I uploaded the application I got from SBA). And yes, that may seem like a lot of money and I'm sure we are getting ripped off as taxpayers, but that link you provided appeared to be a multi-year contract, I think it was for 3 years? And knowing how much my payroll costs are for just 4 quality employees and imagining how much payroll costs would be for 1000 employees to answer calls, create website infrastructure and provide IT support that could easily cost about $50,000,000 a year for quality US based employees in an expensive area like DC. When I do the math it adds up anon. Being in business can be expensive. That doesn't even include rent, equipment, utilities, etc.

Yes, they were processing them. I applied to the EIDL. I had an application number which I provided when I applied for PPP. It was all rolled into PPP. I don't know why this is so mysterious. And found another source that said they have 224 employees and do about $40,000,000 a year in revenue so $126,000,000 for a multi-year contract seems about right. They specialize in serving government agencies like SBA. And they're hiring. See when I fill out that SBA form and send it to my bank, my bank processes a loan and works with SBA (which is why they are hiring loan specialists) that helps facilitate and back that loan. They most assuredly employ lawyers too, because you should read those closing documents I signed today, I almost didn't sign them until I called and had a few things clarified by the SBA, things my bank couldn't answer.

The SBA is not a nefarious organization from my experience. I've repaid over $250k in SBA loans over the last 13 years. I wouldn't be in business without them. Spoke to another small business friend who employees 100 people. For reference his company grosses about $70 million a year. You have no idea what overhead costs are like for businesses. My small company has about $300k a year in operating costs. Keep in mind, that number does not include cost of goods sold, that's JUST payroll, rent, utilities, etc. Just what's needed to keep the lights on, doors open and staff paid. Think about it. The math works. As Dave Ramsey would say, math doesn't care about your feelings. Math doesn't lie anon.

For fuck's sake I do not believe this shit is real. See my post last bread and posts this bread. Small business anon applied for both EIDL and PPP and got PPP because EIDL phased out (PPP way better deal anyways because can be forgiven!). Called SBA today and did not get a retard like the actors in this video, got a very intelligent person who answered my questions. In order to be employed at the call center you must have a Public Trust clearance. The guy on the other end sounds like Jussie Smollet.

This company Highlight Tech everyone is all freaked out about because they got a $126 million contract was contracted out to provide services to SBA to help facilitate the massive increase in loan applications. I will say it again. SBA does NOT fund loans. Banks do. SBA backs loans like a loan guarantor so if a business goes belly up, SBA will pay the bank back (using tax payer dollars of course). The funds originate from the lender, NOT SBA. The company contracted to work for SBA is hiring in case any anons are out of work go here to apply to the number of jobs listed. To anons that can't fathom why a company would need that much money, do the math. I have a small business friend who employs 100 people, his company grosses $70 million a year. It's fucking expensive to run a company.
