Hey Planefag

Giantkiller Boatfag here ref your post LB (shit, I lost the linky, sorry) about the C130 and CH-53 ops off MCAS Miramar…

There are two small USN warships right below 'em, ESE of the tip of San Clemente Island. There's also a slightly larger USN warship due north of those (bearing ENE of the northern tip of San Clem). They might be serving as markers for race tracking, recovery vessels for over-water jumps, not enough info to tell.

You do know San Clem is where the Frogs like to go be alone and play with things that go boom, right?

Tks PF - looks like one of the -53's is low enough to be doing flight deck ops. LB one of the -53's was tagging along right behind one of the C-130's only 25 ft diff in altitude, so I assumed some tanking ops going on.

Bottom line is it looks like they're having a frisky time. There's a 4th warship that has emerged in between the northern ship and the 2 southern ships, but he's heading due west at a decent rate and may just be passing through the playground.
