Found two articles about biometrics and potential exploitation as kids are all at home doing school remotely.

 

Primary source is Pam Dixon of World Privacy Forum. First article is from Biometrics Update, discussing how designation of student data as "directory information" can be shared without their knowledge or consent, and as laws are outdated, much data now considered private is available for scraping.

I think it's relevant given the sudden switch to remote learning. Not sure to what degree this weakness might be exploited. Sorry if this was already posted - haven't seen it.
